Our Process
TAV SPEC
You might have noticed this hashtag, or us reference this on our product pages. But what does this mean?
The TAV Spec Stage System is a suspension system utilizing what we believe are some of the best components on the market. The coilovers and rear shocks are built to a custom spring rate and valving for the vehicle based on the weight the vehicle will see on a regular basis. We can adjust, tune, and rebuild the suspension in-house as needed. All spring rates are built and tuned to support each client's unique load-carrying requirements. Tire size and wheels are also taken into account, ensuring that nothing compromises the ride quality and comfort. From the Stage 1 Mid-travel to the Stage 3 Long-travel suspension systems, we can personalize your vehicle for your lifestyle.Â
Outfitting
During the consultation, someone on our team will discuss the various options available for your camping and recreational needs. This will also include vehicle bumpers, lighting, dual battery systems, cooking, and refrigeration needs. We can work within your budget to get you set up for where you plan to take your vehicle.
We can be your resource for everything from base camp essentials to a fully built expedition truck.Â

STAGES
The TAV SPEC stage system is not a good, better, best approach to building vehicles.
These components are carefully built to work together to support and properly control the load of an outfitted vehicle over differing types of terrain. After knowing what the intended purpose of the vehicle is, we can recommend the appropriate stage to complete the build.Â
TIMELINE
1. Inquiry
Filling out our contact form is the best way to get in touch with us. But phone calls work as well. We like to know what vehicle you have or are interested in building. The team up front will work with you on the initial part of your build to get the basics worked out.
2. Consultation
After we get the basics, you will have a paid consultation scheduled with Walt. In this consultation, you will go over several variables that will help us personalize your vehicle to what you need.
3. Build Sheet
With the information from the consultation, the team will work on a very detailed build sheet for your vehicle. This will include a list of your parts and price, estimated shipping cost, estimated labor hours, sales tax, and estimated expenses. We will send you a copy as a rough draft and go over any questions you have to ensure everything is clear.Â
4. Deposit & Schedule
Once the build sheet is finalized, in order to secure your build, we require 100% of the cost of the parts and estimated shipping to be paid. Once all the parts have arrived, we will work with you to schedule a time for your build.
5. Build
Once the truck is dropped off, we require 2/3 of your estimated labor to be paid. After we work through that, we will bill labor every two weeks till complete. Our team will keep you updated on the build process along the way.
