Walt's favorite items - Gift Guide for the adventurer in your life

While there are endless lists of gift guides for those off-road or "overland" enthusiasts we thought that rather than just putting out a random list, we would give you a list of items that we have used, trust, and love. 

We all need cases. Small cases, large cases, and everything in between. The Zarges cases are lightweight and strong and can be mounted to your roof rack, bed rack, or just toss them in the back seat. We use these on most of our personal vehicles and really enjoy the quality of usefulness. We have several options available and can order any size that you need. 

 

Another company we love is DMOS. Recently, the founder Susan was a finalist at SEMA Launchpad for her product. These shovels can take a beating and will help you get out of many situations. Not only can you use them as a recovery tool, but they are good to have around for many circumstances. This is another product that you will see on many of our builds. 

The ability to air up and down when traveling off-road is essential. Not only does it provide a more comfortable ride, but it also provides a wider footprint for your tires to grip on the terrain. The INDEFLATE allows the user to inflate and deflate your tires quickly and with ease. This is another tool that we carry with us on any adventure. 

Reliable tools are something that every off-roader needs. Whether it is in the shop or on the trail investing in a set if quality tools is something that everyone who enjoys vehicle based travel should do. We personally use BOXO tools on both our UTV's and Trucks. With these tools, you have the resources to fix almost anything that comes your way. 

We have known Jerry over at Tembo Tusk for years and have used his Skottle while camping for quite awhile. Simple and effective these cooking platforms are easy to use and maintain and can cook just about anything you desire. Caught a fish while in your boat? Fry it up. Want some Morel mushrooms and a steak? Boom! Skottle away. Popcorn while watching a meteor shower. Pop it on the skottle. It is one of our favorites and a go to for us and our team. 

When going anywhere off-road it is important to have recovery gear. Even if you may never need it for your own rig, you can use it to help others out of situations, but chances are, at some point, you will need these tools. Factor 55 makes some of the best recovery kits on the market. They test them rigorously and stand behind their products. 

Speaking of recovery. Recovery boards are a must have. Sand, mud, snow, or even just to level your vehicle for camping, these boards are one tool that use use on every trip. We choose Maxtrax, because they are strong, reliable, and the customer service is amazing. This is a company that stands behind their products. 

Another storage box that we really like is the Wolf Pack and Wolf Pack Pro. These boxes are a little more affordable than other options. The Wolf Pack Pro is strong and water and dust proof. Perfect for anything from camping gear to recovery tools you can take these boxes in and out with ease.
